A 35 m² duplex studio designed for two, with the living area and kitchenette on the entrance level and a mezzanine bedroom lit by a skylight. Wooden-beamed ceilings, hydraulic-tile floors and air conditioning make it a cosy base to recharge between walks. It sits in Bonfim, an authentic residential neighbourhood of Porto.

This studio is part of Pestana Townhouses, a small row of houses set along an inner passage, reached through a gate with an intercom. Inside, the home is split over two levels: the living area and kitchen downstairs, and the bedroom upstairs. Living Room The living room is the heart of the home, with wooden-beamed ceilings and hydraulic-tile floors that give it character. The sofa facing the TV invites you to slow down at the end of the day and turns into a double sofa bed. A small table for two works for breakfast or a quiet dinner in. Kitchen The kitchenette opens onto the living room and has everything you need for easy cooking: a hob, extractor hood, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, plus crockery, pots and utensils. There is also a washing machine and a drying rack, handy for longer stays. Bedroom A wooden staircase leads up to the mezzanine bedroom, open to the living room, where the sloped ceiling and skylight create a snug space to sleep. It has a double bed, a sliding-door wardrobe and room-darkening blinds for slow mornings. Bathroom The all-white bathroom has a walk-in shower with a glass screen, washbasin, mirror and hairdryer. Location The studio is in Bonfim, east of Baixa, with the metro and Campanhã station a moderate walk away. It is a quiet area to come back to in the evening, with the historic centre a long walk or a few metro stops away.
